At Dolphin Suites we do our utmost to support you and your travel plans. As the situation around novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can to ensure your travel safety and provide maximum flexibility.

Corona Virus on Curacao
Worldwide the Coronavirus is still dominating the daily news. The Caribbean is still not heavily affected due to the early measures taken. Although we do understand your concern.

Through this page we would like to keep you informed about the latest developments that Dolphin Suites closely monitors.

Currently Curacao only reported 16 cases of which one active at the moment.
Since May 8th 2020 Curacao has release the lock down through which hotels can slowly open up for local tourism while measures on hygiene en social distance are in place.

It is expected that the flights from abroad will soon be allowed again to land on Curacao, with safety measures to comply with the hygiene standards and social distance.
To provide you with some peace of mind we would like to let you know that we are doing everything we can to ensure your safety and to offer a clean and comfortable stay in Dolphin Suites as soon as you are able to travel to us again.  

Your safety

We ask all our guests to make sure your personal hygiene is adequate at all times. If you are not feeling well or experience symptoms including caughing or sneezing or shortness of breath in combination with high fever, we urge you to contact your physician before traveling to Curacao.

A comprehensive COVID-19 guidance is in place at Dolphin Suites. Some highlights of the precautions taken:

  • Our housekeeping staff is thoroughly trained on an extensive cleaning and hygiene protocol controlled with checklist;

  • Room seal policy is applied to indicate that guestrooms have not been accesses since they were deep cleaned and thoroughly checked;

  • Extra disinfection of high touch areas in guest rooms and public areas including but not limited to light switches, door handles, elevator button, room keys, ATM machine;

  • Increased cleaning frequency in public area’s and controlled with extensive checklist;

  • High-Temp wash & disinfectant for linens, bedding items, cushions, kitchen equipment, towels, beach towel etc.;

  • Hand sanitizer dispensers available to our guests at several places in the hotel;

  • Reduced paper amenities in the room for our guests safety. Soon to be fully replaced by digital information services;

  • Social distance and hygiene measures at our front desk. Soon to be expanded with digital check-in & check-out;

  • Guidance for our guests as well as our employees through the whole hotel to execute and maintain the hygiene and social distance measures taken;

  • All staff trained on the virus prevention protocol;

  • Safety and well-being coordinators in our team to ensure your safety and operation according to the virus prevention protocols that we have in place.

Your Travel Flexibility

We remain committed to offering you flexible booking options. Given these unique circumstances we are making additional adjustments to our individual booking policies to give you extra peace of mind:

  • Existing Reservations. All reservations that are scheduled for arrival before June 18th 2020, can be unlimited changed at no charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled arrival to a new travel period that falls within 12 months from the original arrival date (excluded the travel period from December 19th 2020 until January 3rd 2021).

    For these re-bookings we now offer a free breakfast for one day during your stay to start of a well-deserved relax holiday when this crisis is over.

  • New Reservations. Any reservation you make – even those described as “non-refundable”  – that are booked between March 15th and June 18th 2020, for any future arrival date until Dec. 18th 2020, can be changed or cancelled at no charge up to 7 days before your scheduled arrival. Above conditions only apply for direct bookings made through our website or directly through us.
