Partners in care

Dolphin Suites & Wellness was founded in 2008 by the Curaçao Dolphin Therapy & Research Center (CDTC). Built on the vision that guests participating in the therapy program needed a comfortable and fully accessible place to stay, the hotel was created as a natural extension of the center’s mission.

Since then, Dolphin Suites has evolved into a unique boutique hotel where guests with and without special needs can enjoy a carefree vacation in one welcoming environment.

To this day, we maintain a close partnership with CDTC, supporting families who take part in one of the world’s leading dolphin-assisted therapy programs. This special collaboration remains at the heart of who we are and is a key reason why Dolphin Suites has so much experience in hosting guests who require additional care, equipment, or personal assistance.

Flying with Autism Foundation

For many, traveling is an adventure, but for travelers with autism or sensory sensitivity, the prospect of a long journey – such as to the beautiful island of Curaçao – can feel overwhelming. The stress beforehand, a busy airport with all the procedures to follow, and then the long flight can lead to tension or uncertainty.

Each person with autism is unique and may experience greater difficulty with unfamiliar situations and changes in routines and structure. That’s why it’s important to choose an approach before and during the flight that matches the traveler’s specific sensory and emotional needs. Stichting Vliegen met Autisme (Flying with Autism Foundation) helps with this and is committed to lowering these barriers, ensuring the traveler is well-prepared for air travel.

With proper preparation and support, the flight can become less stressful and more manageable. This also allows for a calmer transition upon arrival, making it easier to start your vacation – or perhaps therapy – in comfort.

The Flying with Autism Foundation strives for accessible travel and guides you from your home base to an enjoyable stay at your destination.
