THE PAUSE EXPERIENCE

Your Week in Curacao

A day-by-day guide to what you will experience

Before the experience begins you will be asked to do two things:

The first is to create a "Who I Am at the Moment"  board — a simple, personal snapshot of where you are right

now. This is n ot about how you want to appear. It is an honest look at your current life, and one specific obstacle

or emotion you are ready to work with.


The second is a wishlist — a reflection on what you want your future to look and feel like. What do you want more

of? How do you want to feel? This helps shape the week so that the support you receive is genuinely personal to you.


NOTE: You do not need to have it all figured out before you arrive. You just need to be willing to look.

Arrival & Connection


Settle in. Meet the group. The week begins.


Morning & afternoon: Arrive, settle into your surroundings, and get comfortable. This day belongs to you— there is no agenda beyond arriving fully.

Evening: The group comes together for the first time. Through a warm, informal ice breaker you will meet your fellow participants and begin building the sense of trust that will carry you through the week.

Start Where I Am

Learn how your body signals a reactive moment — and what to do in it.


Morning: This is where the inner work begins. In a guided session called Start Where I Am,

you will learn how to recognise the moment you shift into a reactive state — and

how to pause before it takes over. You will explore how your thoughts directly affect

your physical body, and you will be introduced to the Pause Phrase: a personal, 3-

to-5-word tool you can use in any difficult moment to interrupt the cycle and return

to yourself. You will receive your #BeFriendUrMind card deck and booklet, which will accompany you for the rest of the week.


Afternoon: You are given your first practical task — a visual exercise to prepare you for the next day at Hofi Mango. 

You will start to identify the kind of pause your body is asking for, and how to practise it in a real environment.


Finding Your Relaxation Rhythm

Take your pause outside — into nature, movement, and fresh air.


Morning: The day is spent at Hofi Mango — a lush, open landscape perfect for slowing down.

Through zip-lining and walking, you will take everything from the Day 2 session out

of the room and into your body. The task is simple: practise your Pause Phrase as

you move, and notice what actually happens to your energy and your senses when

you do.


Afternoon: Group sharing and integration session, turning new awareness into practical tools you can carry home — followed by a cheerful toast with a lovely cocktail under the Curaçao sun.


Expressing What You Feel

Find your own words — then let them become something beautiful.


Morning

This session is about learning to express what is actually happening inside you when

you are in a difficult moment — rather than going blank, shutting down, or reaching

for the words you think you should say. You will work with your Pause Phrase to

understand how it can help you stay present with a difficult emotion and speak from

a grounded place rather than a reactive one.


Afternoon

Creative art session with Charda, expressing your journey visually and intuitively. No artistic experience needed.

Refreshing Our Curiosity

The city becomes your classroom — and your camera becomes the tool.


Morning: Enjoy a relaxed guided stroll through the colorful streets of Willemstad, soaking in the vibrant architecture and Caribbean charm. Along the way, embrace mindful moments, snap beautiful photos, pause for journaling, and allow space for playful discovery and inspiration.

You head into the colourful streets of Willemstad with a Pause Phrase card and a

photography brief. Eight intentional photographs are your task for the day — but

this is also a chance to sightsee, wander, and take in everything this city has to offer.

As you explore, you are looking for the details that spark something in you: images

that capture how you want to feel and who you want to become. Curiosity is the

guide.


Afternoon: Lunch is at Plaza Bieu, one of Curacao's oldest and most beloved local food markets

— a feast for the senses. The rest of the afternoon is yours to explore: wander

through the artistic neighbourhood of Otrabanda, or head to the more festive

Pietermaai. Your phrase stays with you as a lens as you move through the city.

Building Your Just Be Me Diary

Bring the week together — and make it work in your everyday life.


Morning: Using all the photographs you have gathered across the week, you create your Just

Be Me Diary — a personal visual record of the shift in how you see yourself, from

Day 1 to now. Alongside it, you craft your own Pause Phrase: a short, personal

anchor drawn directly from your own images and experience. The morning also

covers how to keep this practice alive once you are back home, including how to use

AI as  a   support tool to help you continue the work after the experience ends.is


Afternoon: Unwind with a soothing complimentary massage and plenty of time to simply be,  lounge by the pool, float in the sea, or rest in the shade, and let everything gently settle in.


Closing Circle & Farewell

Share what shifted. Celebrate the week. Carry it home.


Morning: The week closes with a breakfast circle. You share your Just Be Me Diary with the group — the images that meant something, the phrase you built, and what you are

taking home. The conversation is guided but open: a space to witness one another

and to mark what has changed.


Afternoon: Check-out. 

You leave with your Just Be Me Diary, your personal Pause Phrase, and your #BeFriendUrMind Original Edition card deck — everything you need to keep going.

As the sun begins to set, the choice is yours!

 Enjoy dinner at one of the many delicious restaurants at Mambo Beach, just steps from the hotel, or unwind with a sunset stroll by the ocean.


On Wednesdays, soak up the atmosphere with live music at Cabana Beach, or head to charming Pietermaai for a cozy dinner in one of its vibrant restaurants.
